Join us for a one-of-a-kind workshop where you’ll learn the art of painting floral designs on ceramics under the expert guidance of Helen Dealtry. This special class begins with an introduction to floral painting on paper, guided by Helen, who will share her techniques, approach to color, and creative insights.
Next, transition from paper to ceramics as you learn to use underglazes to bring your designs to life on pre-bisqued ceramic pieces made by Re Jin Lee. With Helen’s guidance, explore the delicate art of painting florals on ceramics and create unique, hand-painted works to take home.
Whether you’re a beginner or an experienced artist, this workshop offers a hands-on, immersive experience for all skill levels.

ABOUT HELEN DEALTRY
Helen Dealtry is a multidisciplinary artist known for her hand-painted floral designs and passion for creativity. Originally from Surrey, England, Helen studied Textile and Fashion Design at Winchester School of Art before moving to New York City, where she built an impressive career in textile design, rising to creative director and crafting thousands of designs for the fashion and interiors industries.
In 2008, Helen founded her own studio in New York’s Hudson Valley, where she creates original artwork and collaborates with global brands in interior, fashion, and beauty markets. Her work, deeply inspired by nature, reflects the beauty of flowers through watercolors, inks, and other media.
Helen also hosts Art in Bloom with Helen Dealtry on MAX, sharing her creative process and inspiring viewers to explore their artistic potential. Through her workshops, held both in Hudson and abroad, Helen connects with people, encouraging them to embrace the transformative power of art.
RE JIN LEE X HELEN DEALTRY
Re Jin and Helen’s friendship dates back to 2011, when they met through mutual friends and later shared a studio complex in Brooklyn. Over the years, they have shared tradeshow booths, witnessed each other's career evolutions, and collaborated on several projects. Now, it feels fitting to join forces once again, blending their passions in this meaningful workshop.

12:00 - 1:00 PM
Intro & Demo
An introduction to the basics of floral painting on paper, followed by a demonstration of the techniques.
1:00 - 3:00 PM
Floral Painting
Learn and apply the techniques with underglaze to paint on the select pottery.
3:00 PM - 4:00 PM
Finish & Decorate
Complete your piece and add personalized decorative touches.

To ensure an intimate setting, this session is limited to a small group of 10 attendees (minimum 8*). To reserve your spot, full payment is required. Ticket sales are final. Kindly note, we cannot compensate for any travel related costs.
In the event that the minimum attendance of 8 participants is not reached, the workshop will be canceled and ticket holders will receive a refund.
